Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Dagen Media ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our internal podcast production application (the "Service") at app.dagenmedia.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, organization, podcast and episode metadata, scheduling details, and guest contact information. When you connect a Google account, we receive your email address and OAuth tokens used solely to send email on your behalf from your connected Gmail account.
2. Google User Data
When you connect a Gmail account to a podcast, we request thegmail.sendscope along with basic profile email. Access tokens and refresh tokens are stored encrypted in our database and are used exclusively to send transactional emails (such as guest show notes and confirmations) from the connected account. We do not read, modify, or store the contents of your inbox. We do not share Google user data with third parties, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI/ML models. You can revoke our access at any time by disconnecting the account inside the app or via your Google Account permissions page.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To send transactional emails related to podcast production.
- To generate AI-assisted show notes from episode metadata you provide.
- To authenticate and authorize users and protect against abuse.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (such as our hosting, database, and email infrastructure providers), and only as required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain account, podcast, and episode data for as long as your organization uses the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing the address below.
6. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our database.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
